Charminster is a residential and commercial suburb of Bournemouth in Dorset, situated between the suburbs of Springbourne (to the south-east) and Winton (to the north-west). Sitting just north of Boscombe, it’s boundaries are Northcote Road to the west, Ashley Road to the east, the Wessex way to the north and the railway line to the south. The main road, Holdenhurst Road, was previously the primary route into Bournemouth from the north and north-east. It’s now bypassed by the A338 Wessex Way, but it’s still a main shopping street and with excellent transport links as well.
Southbourne is a relaxed, popular suburb of Bournemouth located next to the sea with outstanding blue flag beaches and excellent travel connections back to London. Southbourne Grove, the main shopping street has a plethora of independent, unique shops and restaurants to discover and enjoy.
Moordown is conveniently located approximately 3 miles north of Bournemouth Town Centre. It joins Winton and extends North offering a slightly more residential feel but still has a good variety of shops, takeaways, convenience stores and even a large CO OP. There is a choice of cuisine including the popular Pizza Hut and one of the best chip shops in Bournemouth.
